In this video I’m discussing some thoughts on the Native Instruments Maschine Jam hardware controller and the significance of input paradigms in MIDI controllers.
MIDI controller choices are a reflection of who we are and can also form the basis of how we communicate as musicians. Each input paradigm has it’s own creative possibilities that can be explored by a musician. The Maschine Jam adds another creative option to the music production world in hardware format with its combination of familiar grid based input and experimental touch strip based note input.
Note that at the time of this video I am a Native Instruments employee. This video is not meant to serve as an unbiased review, but more so as guidance for those that are uncertain of the benefits of this new controller.
I’m looking forward to seeing how creatives adapt to this technology and use it to express themselves.
Be Blessed,
J. Myracks
